The story behind Agro Labs
Accra's growing middle class eats dairy every day — but almost all of it travels thousands of kilometres from abroad, arriving older, less fresh and with a larger footprint than necessary.
We set out to change that. Fresh dairy, made in Accra, held to international food-safety standards and delivered on the day it is made. That is the whole idea — and it is still what we do.
Our mission
Why fresh dairy from Accra matters
The A2 beta-casein protein found in our milk is the same protein naturally present in human breast milk. Many people who find ordinary A1 milk hard to digest prefer A2 — not because of marketing, but because of the protein structure.
We work exclusively with A2 cows. Our herd graze on organically managed pasture, receive no growth hormones, and are supported by regular veterinary care. What they eat — and how they live — is what shapes the quality of every litre we bottle.
The Indian-influenced range — paneer, sweet lassi, shrikhand, chaas and desi ghee — grew out of the same commitment: apply Indian dairy craft to locally produced A2 milk, and make things Accra simply cannot get fresh elsewhere.
The team
Who is behind Agro Labs
Michael Larbi Tete
CEO & Director
Michael leads Agro Labs with a vision rooted in food security: Accra deserves access to genuinely fresh, locally made dairy — held to the same standard as the best imported alternatives. He oversees production, quality and business development.
Deborah Demi Duah
Director
Deborah brings strategic and operational oversight to Agro Labs, ensuring that the business scales without compromising the quality commitments that define it. She works across supply, partnerships and the community relationships the brand is built on.
How we source
Ethical sourcing & sustainability
Our supply is not built on extraction. We pay our partner farmers fairly, invest in their capacity and treat the cows' welfare as a direct input to the quality of the milk. That is the basis of our Ethical Milk Sourcing Program.
